Julio Betancourt, Prelitigation/Marketing Paralegal has been a resident of Jensen Beach for thirty years and a Paralegal for twenty years. Julio was born in Cuba and migrated to the United States with his parents and younger sister when he was two years old. As a result he is fluent in Spanish. He grew up in Vineland, New Jersey where he graduated from Vineland High School in 1981. Julio attended Indian River State College where he first received his A.S. in Legal Assisting and later his Associate of Arts. He later went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Florida Atlantic University in 2002. He has worked in various areas of the law including criminal defense, family law and personal injury. Since 2000 he has primarily concentrated on assisting those who have been injured as a result of the negligence of others in car accidents, premises and product liability claims. Due to his strong communication skills he also enjoys marketing and interacting with colleagues in an effort to expand business and personal relationships.
Julio is a member of the Hispanic Professionals Network of the Treasure Coast, the Martin County Chamber, the Saint Lucie County Chamber and he sits on the Community Development Committee of Habitat for Humanity in Saint Lucie County. He also participates in other community non-profit projects.
In his spare time Julio is an avid member of OrangeTheory in Jensen Beach typically working out before work. He also enjoys gardening, shopping, movies, traveling, socializing with friends and colleagues and spending time with his eighteen-month old nephew.
